Moorea jet ski tours -- comparison table 2026
All three operators are accredited, safety-focused and bookable via Viator with free cancellation and verified reviews. The main differences are the itinerary, group size and price.
Prices are per jet ski -- not per person -- and can accommodate 1 or 2 riders. That means a tandem jet ski shared between two people is significantly better value than two solo jet skis. The prices shown are peak season rates. Discounts are possible in low season -- always check current rates online before booking.
| Operator | Duration | Price / jet ski | Strength | Book |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Top Jet & Top Quad Moorea | 3h | $255 peak season | Best value · Northern lagoon loop | View & book |
| Moorea Activities Center | 3h | $261 peak season | Cook Bay & Opunohu · Snorkeling stop | View & book |
| Moorea Paradise Activities | 3h | from $264 | ⭐ Wild side of the island · Exclusive itinerary | View & book |
For the best value, go with Top Jet & Top Quad Moorea or Moorea Activities Center ($255-261 in peak season). If you want something more exclusive, Moorea Paradise Activities takes you to the wilder, less-visited side of the island -- that is the one we tested and loved.
Moorea lagoon -- one of the most beautiful in French Polynesia, best explored at full speed on a jet ski
Jet skiing in Moorea -- the experience
Moorea lagoon is one of the most beautiful in French Polynesia -- a vast expanse of turquoise water protected by a coral reef, framed by the dramatic peaks of Mount Rotui and the lush green mountains above Cook Bay and Opunohu Bay. On a jet ski, you get access to parts of the lagoon that boats cannot easily reach, at a pace that is entirely your own.
Most tours last around 3 hours and include a snorkeling stop where you will swim with stingrays and blacktip reef sharks -- a highlight for most people. The guides lead the way, adjust the speed to your comfort level and often capture photos and video during the ride.
We did the Moorea Paradise Activities tour as a couple -- small group, incredible guide, and an itinerary that took us to the wilder south side of the island. Far fewer boats, more remote bays, and a completely different perspective on Moorea. The snorkeling stop was exceptional. Honestly one of the best half-days we have spent on the island.

The 3 best jet ski operators in Moorea -- in detail
Top Jet & Top Quad Moorea -- $255 (peak season)
The most affordable option on the island. Top Jet & Top Quad Moorea runs a 3-hour lagoon loop covering the northern coast, with both solo and tandem jet ski options. A good choice if you want the thrill of the lagoon at the best price point, with a reliable and experienced local team. The tour includes a stop for marine life encounters.
Moorea Activities Center -- $261 (peak season)
Moorea Activities Center is one of the most established activity providers on the island, running jet ski tours daily from their dock near Cook Bay. The 3-hour tour covers both Cook Bay and Opunohu Bay -- two of Moorea most iconic spots -- and includes a snorkeling stop with stingrays, blacktip reef sharks and turtles. Solo and tandem options available. Consistently top-rated on Viator with excellent reviews for safety and professionalism.
Moorea Activities Center -- departing from their dock near Cook Bay, one of the island most iconic spots
Moorea Paradise Activities -- from $264 ⭐ Our pick
The most premium option -- and the one we tested personally. Moorea Paradise Activities takes a different route from the others: instead of the northern lagoon, the tour explores the wilder, less-visited southern and western side of the island. Smaller group, more intimate experience, and an itinerary that feels genuinely off the beaten track. The guide was exceptional -- knowledgeable, safety-focused and clearly passionate about the island. If you want something memorable and unique, this is worth the price difference.
Practical tips for your jet ski tour in Moorea
Book in advance -- especially in high season
Between July and October (whale season) and over the Christmas/New Year period, jet ski tours fill up fast -- particularly the smaller group formats. Book as soon as your dates are confirmed. All three operators offer free cancellation via Viator, so there is no risk in booking early.
Solo or tandem?
If you are comfortable on a jet ski and want full control, go solo. If you are a first-timer or prefer to enjoy the scenery as a passenger, tandem is the better option -- and it is often more fun for couples. All operators offer both at the time of booking.
No experience needed
All tours include a full safety briefing before departure. Guides adapt the pace to your comfort level -- beginners are fully catered for. You do not need a driving licence or prior experience to join.
Morning departures are best
The lagoon is calmer and the light is better in the morning. If you have the choice, opt for the earliest available departure -- you will have a smoother ride and better underwater visibility for the snorkeling stop.
What to bring
Swimwear (you will get wet), biodegradable sunscreen (mandatory in the water), a waterproof phone case if you want to capture footage, and a light rash guard for sun protection on longer rides.
Saturdays and Sundays tend to be much busier on the lagoon. If your schedule allows, opt for a weekday. If you can only go on a weekend, we recommend Moorea Paradise Activities -- their route covers the wilder, less-visited side of the island where you will encounter far fewer boats.
Book your excursion on the first or second day on the island -- not the last. That way, if the tour is cancelled due to weather, you have time to reschedule.
